Five members from the Original Kerry Project will be flying the Kerry flag for craft excellence at a craft market on Denny Street which will take place daily from 9am to 6pm from the August 17 to the 21.
The Original Kerry members who’ll be showing off their wares include Monson Irish Jewellery, headed up by David Monson from Ballinclemissig, Ballyheigue; Colleen Bowler, a potter from Castlegregory; John O’Connor, from Sandhopper Art; another Castlegregory native, Mary Fitzgerald, of Malaí Dingle Bags, and Ken Bolger, from Ballyferriter, who will bring a range of Valentia slate gift items.
“Craft is often well suited to a market setting and the chat and banter in the Original Kerry tent promises to be good. The work on offer will certainly be very fine.
“The Original Kerry project currently supports fifty six craft making businesses from across the County. Be sure to check them out on www.originalkerry.com for up to date event listings,” said Original Kerry co-ordinator Deirdre Johnston.
